How Skeletal and Muscular System works Together and How Important Skeletal and Muscular System Is For Body Locomotion

The skeletal and muscular system collectively called musculoskeletal system. These are generally advised as two abstracted systems but their alive is activated with each other so function as one. skeletal and muscular system plays an an important role as it allows bodies to move to more favourable external conditions. Human anatomy consists two hundred and six bones, these poses a absolute or aberrant articulation with muscle groups. Musculoskeletal arrangement makes anatomy movement possible. Skeletal and able muscular system information helps to accept their alive and functions calm properly.

Certain bone cells produce immune cells as well as important cellular components of the blood. The skeleton system performs many functions in the human body like :
-Support: Skeleton is like a framework of the body, offer support to softer tissues and provides attachment points for most skeletal muscles.
-Protection: Mechanical protection is also provided by the skeleton for the internal parts of the body that minimizes the risk of injury to organs.
-Assisting movements: The skeletal muscles are attached to bones so that when associated muscles contract, they cause bones to move.
-Mineral storage: Minerals are stored by bone tissues like calcium and phosphorus etc. whenever these minerals are required by body, bone releases them into the blood.

• Muscles are of two types voluntary and involuntary. Involuntary muscles works out of our control like heart pumping, control over bladder functions etc. The skeletal frame is useless without muscles.
• Muscles cover a variety of bones and allow body to perform functions like lifting, bending, grasping and the like. Muscles allow our fingers to move, to turn the page of the book, to make grip over something or to push a car etc.
• Many bones in the human body are not made for the purpose of locomotion but designed for the protection of some very crucial and weak internal organs. So that these organs can work properly without any harm for example the rib cage provides protection to both lungs as well as the heart.
• The central bone cavity either contains red or yellow marrow. Red corpuscles are produced in the bone marrow, as the bone age it converts into yellow. This yellow marrow is an energy source of the bone.
• The combination of skeletal and muscular system makes the working of voluntary and involuntary actions possible. Skeletal system works as a support for the body. Without skeletal frame movement is impossible.
• Our skeletal system poses the ability to provide strength and support to the tissues, it comprise only 18 percent of the body weight.
• An endoskeleton works like a frame that offer support during the development and growth of the body. It offers protection, support, blood cell formation, mineral and energy storing etc.
• Bones are constituted with connective tissue and it is found all over the body in different forms. Collagen fibre is also actively involved in the formation of bones.
• Bones are considered a living organ, if you see a cross section of a long bone such as femur; a shaft can be easily noticed in the middle which is hollow.
• The bone surfaces are covered up with special cells which are made up of calcium compounds. This gives formation and strength to bones.

As we develop bones grow with us. Bones add surface area throughout oppositional growth that causes the bone to widen. The skeletal system is enclosed up with muscles. That enables us to move. The bones and muscles work together during impulses and signals, a communication established connecting brain and skeletal muscles.

The skeleton system is of two types one is axial skeleton and the other is appendicle skeleton. Axial skeleton system consists of bones that form the axis of the body and offer hold up for organs like head, neck and trunk. It is construct up of skull, sternum, vertebral columns and ribs. Appendicle skeleton system is composed of bones that attach the appendages to the axial skeleton. This skeleton consists of upper and lower extremities, shoulder and pelvic girdle.

Skeletal muscles are controlled by somatic nervous system. These are also called voluntary muscles. Skeletal muscles are attached to bones by bundles called collagen fibres, known as tendons. Cardiac muscles are heart muscles, muscle fibres in them are linked to each other. These muscles are controlled by autonomic nervous system and sinus mode. Smooth muscles are controlled by autonomic nervous system thus involuntary; perform functions like heart beat and lungs

On the other hand, muscular system is an anatomical system that allows it to move. The muscular system in humans is controlled by nervous system although, some muscles can be autonomous such as cardiac muscles .Muscular system can be divided into three types of muscles skeletal muscles, cardiac muscles and smooth muscles. Muscles play extremely important part for the body as they provide posture, balance, strength, locomotion and heat for the body.


Skeletal and muscular system animations are particularly important and crucial part of the body as performs very basic and highly significant functions for the body. Muscle cell use chemical energy from the food. We have over 30 facial muscles that help to make expressions like, happiness, sadness, frowning etc. Skeletal and muscular system information is extremely beneficial in knowing extra about the communication establishment between skeletal and muscular system.
